Before and After TMS Therapy Treatment
Learn how TMS Treatment helped both Kelly and Daniel treat their depression and the positive impact it had on their lives.
Below are 2 video testimonials discussing the before and after TMS treatment for their depression.
Daniel’s Story
Before TMS:
- Suffered through 7 years of hell having nothing and wanting nothing
- 5 unsuccessful suicide attempts
- 15+ medications
- 5 hospitalizations
After TMS:
- Had a new sense of hope
- Enjoys his days instead of cutting them short
- Owes his life to the TMS treatment
I completed Neurostar treatment in April of this year and life has been normal—fun, exciting! I engage with people socially. I engage with my daughter. I enjoy things that I lost. I don’t go to bed at 5 o’clock in the afternoon any more. I actually stay up…I’m back to my night owl personality where I’m up enjoying life wanting to extend my days rather than cut them short.
Kelly’s Story
Before TMS:
- Medications had bad side effects or would do absolutely nothing which was just as discouraging as the side effects.
- Would have actually given anything to feel sad because she couldn’t feel anything at all.
After TMS:
- Woke up and walked outside and it was as if the sky was bluer. Felt like she had been going through life with a dimmer switch and all of the sudden everything was so clear and there was this clarity that she had never had before.
- Went from someone who is completely numb and empty of life to someone who looks forward to every day.
My friends and family say that they noticed a complete 180 as far as my mood, my energy. They say that I’m a completely different, more vibrant version of myself than I was before.
About Neurostar® TMS Treatment
How TMS Treatment Works
TMS Therapy is a treatment that is performed in a psychiatrist’s office, under his or her supervision, using a medical device called the NeuroStar TMS Therapy system. NeuroStar TMS Therapy is:
- Non-invasive, meaning that it does not involve surgery. It does not require any anesthesia or sedation, as the patient remains awake and alert during the treatment.
- Non-systemic, meaning that it is not taken by mouth and does not circulate in the bloodstream throughout the body.
The typical initial treatment course consists of at least 5 treatments per week over a 6-9 week period, for an average of 30-36 total treatments. Each treatment session lasts approximately 19-40 minutes, depending on what the doctor determines is the correct protocol.
